This study aimed to analyze the perceptive motor learning of 7-8-year-old children. Forty eight children from public schools in Maringá – PR were used as subjects. Piaget and Head’s battery and Stamback’s test were used as instruments. The analysis was carried out by means of descriptive statistics. The results showed that the laterality concept is in medium level; the social recognition of the time suggests that the reversibility characteristic is well established; in the tests of rhythmic structures an immediate successive memorization was not well structured. Therefore, the study showed that physical education classes should emphasize the development of physical perception, aiming at developing the child’s notion of space and temporal world.Downloads
