Abstract

Street urchins, both children and adolescents, can only be understood in the context of their existential dynamics in the articulatory dialectics between leisure and work, in a permanent process of creating and recreating ideas, norms, attitudes, manifestations, expressions, values: producing culture. Regarding practice as a criterion for qualifying and validating knowledge production, the aim of this text is to systematize the data provided by a continuous evaluation of an experience in leisure/education with street urchins in the city of Goiânia.

    Possui Licenciatura em Educação Física pelo Centro Universitário de Volta Redonda (1992), Especialização em Filosofia pela Universidade Federal de São João Del Rei (1995), Mestrado em Educação Física pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2000) e Doutorado em Educação Física pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2005). Atualmente é Professor Adjunto da Universidade Federal de Goiás-UFG e Professor Colaborador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Física da Universidade de Brasília-UnB.
