The major gymnastics companies are trying to make Artistic Gymnastics’ apparatus more dynamic and suitable for certain gymnastics exercises. They made this attempt through research and high technology in order to develop apparatus that could provide not only better security for the gymnasts but also to contribute to the development of new techniques and exercises. The purpose of this study is to provide a better knowledge about men’s artistic gymnastics (MAG) apparatus approaching its history and development along the years. Methodologically we did a bibliographic research where we found that there were few changes in the morphology of the apparatus, but this cannot be said about the materials that the apparatus were made from. After ours analysis we realized that those new materials brought significant changes to MAG providing security and conditions to the development of this sport.Downloads
