Abstract

When considering the objects of Astronomy knowledge and the skills that are proposed for students of the Early Years of Elementary School in the National Common Curriculum Base (BNCC), this text composes an analysis from the perspective of the curricular modalities of Pozo and Crespo (2009). The proposed objective is to analyze the skills that such a document presupposes to teach Astronomy in the Early Years of Elementary School and its relationship with such modalities. We present a qualitative investigation, the methodology for data collection and processing is documentary analysis. The results highlight that the objects of knowledge and skills listed in the BNCC related to Astronomy, partially present some proximity relationships between the approaches made by the authors referenced and the curricular proposal under analysis, in relation to the conceptual and procedural contents, in addition to distancing itself from the athenalytal contents, which do not appear during the exposure of the contents. We also conclude that curricular proposals must present teaching modalities that allow ways of learning and teaching, aiming at consolidating the construction of knowledge in the area of Science and astronomy themes.
