Abstract

The present work aims to investigate the potential of a digital book for teaching Literature and Astronomy from an interdisciplinary perspective, in a first-year high school class at a private institution in the city of Maringá-PR. This research is part of the field of qualitative investigations of the descriptive type. As data constitution instruments, we used mental maps, built by the students at the beginning and end of the proposal implementation, and the field diary prepared by the researchers. For the analysis and interpretation of the data we used the qualitative assumptions proposed by the authors Novak, Gowin and Buzan. Our results show that the students were mobilized to carry out the activities, thus characterizing our digital book as a potentially significant material. The mental maps produced also showed that there was a significant improvement in the elements scope of the subject and hierarchy, thus characterizing a progressive differentiation, which at first we can associate with an indication of significant learning.
