THE THEMATIC PRESERVATION OF WATER: WHAT PROPOSES SCIENCE TEXTBOOKS

In this article we aim to investigate the conceptions regarding water preservation present in official documents, and in a collection of Science textbooks, in order to verify which contents related to the theme are being proposed to be discussed in the classroom. The material analyzed is that used by a municipal school in the northwest region of Paraná, and which is part of a broader research on the subject. The investigation has a qualitative character and its documentary analysis. As a result, it was found that the concepts are related to their importance, use, contamination or pollution, scarcity and right to access.
