Abstract

Sustainability, in the Brazilian context, still lacks attention from the population and public policies for sustainable development. Physical Education plays an important role in this context. In the field of education, it contributes based on health education, mainly through the cross-cutting theme of the environment. In the field of health, it helps to promote health and quality of life by offering a quality service. In view of these possible relationships, the objective of this study is to present some possible reflections on Physical Education and Sustainability. Throughout the manuscript, some concepts and their possible relationships with the field of health are presented, in addition to the possible impacts of the practice of Physical Activity, Physical Education and Sport on sustainable development.
