Abstract

To understand the structure and dynamics of fish assemblages in lentic environments, it is fundamental to identify and analyze the main factors linked with physical space occupation strategies of the species, and characterize the patterns of spatial distribution of fish in different habitats. Factors as biogeographical history, physical and chemical parameters, productivity, structure and complexity of habitats, biotic interactions have been suggested as regulators of ichthyofauna distribution. These factors interrelated with the geological history of the drainage basin determine the patterns of spatial distribution in different lentic environments

Erivelto Goulart, UEM

Graduado em História Natural pela FAFI (IBILCE/UNESP) de São José do Rio Preto-SP (1972), Mestrado em Zoologia pela Universidade Federal do Paraná-PR (1981) e Doutorado em Ecologia e Recursos Naturais pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos-SP (1994). Desde 1976 é Professor de Zoologia de Vertebrados do Departamento de Biologia da UEM - Universidade Estadual de Maringá. Atulmente é Professor Associado e desde a criação, é membro efetivo do NUPELIA - Núcleo de Pesquisas em Limnologia, Ictiologia e AqÃ¼icultura da UEM.Tem experiência em Biologia e Ecologia de peixes de água doce (Ecologia de Ecossistemas), atuando nas áreas de idade, crescimento, estrutura populacional, ecomorfologia, ecologia trófica, voltado a ambientes de planície de inundação. Ex-Pró-Reitor de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação e atual Coordenador do PEA - Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ecologia de Ambientes Aquáticos Continentais Currículo Lattes
