Abstract

This article analyzes three different ways of interpreting the Civil Society, State and Politics from the work of Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Hegel and Marx. This analysis focuses on the initiative of state intervention to solve emerging social problems. This discussion intends to question the theoretical elaboration of Boaventura Santos of the ‘public but not state-owned’ against the reference from Hegel and Marx.
