The teaching of History: trajectories of the discipline in basic education - doi: 10.4025/actascihumansoc.v35i1.17663
Abstract
The 1980s and 1990s were two decades of significant intensification on reflections on the teaching of history in Brazil. In the meantime, various curricular proposals emerged at the federal, state and municipal levels which were labeled as innovatory when compared to previous curricular policies. Since the topic of the teaching of History in Brazilian basic education is discussed, an overview of the forms of teaching History is provided to pinpoint the particularities of school knowledge on history and its close relationship with educational policies, especially curricular policies.
