The world crisis and food production in Brazil - doi: 10.4025/actascihumansoc.v35i1.18497
Abstract
Global crises are the focus of discussion throughout the world. The main topics in current essay deal particularly on the environmental, social and economic crises, and provide analysis and specific studies on Brazilian conditions. Antagonistic agricultural models will be shown, especially, the peasantry versus agribusiness and the main policies of agricultural loans for food production. Themes are discussed from data provided by the MDA, EMATER and IPEA. The most relevant thing, however, is the need to think and plan development forms beyond economic growth to boost agro-ecology and to valorize feminine peasant labor with regard to the care of the planet and the production of healthy food.
