The management of cooperatives: theoretical derivations of utopianism - doi: 10.4025/actascihumansoc.v35i1.18613
Abstract
Cooperative organization is analyzed to identify theoretical categories underlying the socio-political, administrative-institutional and financial dimensions. Since categories are modal concepts that articulate ideas underlying theories, they manifest themselves dynamically within Cooperatives through the management models adopted. Although antagonistically presented for explanatory purposes, categories are often interconnected within the same system and maintain their interfaces. Moreover, the activities of different issues are also discussed. In fact, they demonstrate that Cooperatives are often de-characterized in their basic principles and enrolled as a mere economic section and thus placing the analysis of the social issue question at a lower plane.
