Abstract
This study integrates the final results of a research in the Master’s Postgraduate Program in Literature developed at the Universidade Estadual de Maringá, Paraná State, Brazil. In compliance to Rreader-response Criticism and, specifically, the Aesthetic Response Theory, widely spread since 1970s by the German critic Wolfgang Iser, the children and teenager novel O sofá estampado (1980), by Lygia Bojunga Nunes, was analized. From this point of view, the text leads the reader to complete the gaps in the reading and re-reading process.Downloads
