Abstract

The importance of the theoretical and methodological perspectives which have guided the activities of the Brazilian Linguistic Atlas Project, based on the workshop on Field Work Techniques and Methods to Prepare Interviewers for the Brazilian Linguistic Atlas held in Salvador, state of Bahia, Brazil, September 6 through 10, 1999, are discussed in this paper.

Possui graduação em Letras Anglo Portuguesas pela Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Jandaia do Sul (1982) , graduação em Pedagogia pela Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Jandaia do Sul (1984) , especialização em Especialização Em Língua Portuguesa pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (1987) , mestrado em Letras pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (1992) e doutorado em Lingüística e Língua Portuguesa pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1997) . Atualmente é Professor Adjunto A da Universidade Estadual de Londrina e Professor Adjunto A da Universidade Federal de Rondônia. Tem experiência na área de Lingüística , com ênfase em Sociolingüística e Dialetologia. Atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: variação, sistematização, regra variável Currículo Lattes
