Abstract
The article provides notes on two important aspects linked to children’s entertainment, particularly in the production and promotion of toys. It first discusses the objects in their materiality and shows the importance of certain aspects, such as shape, color, images and texts, revealed to children when in contact with the toys. The second part, connected to the first, questions the role of the media in the production of childhood desires and wishes, its interference in their choice of toys and consequently its accountability in monitoring children’s playing activities.Downloads
