Friendship and politics in Rome: patronage during the imperial period
Abstract
Power relationship in Imperial Rome with special emphasis on the understanding of the patronage system over the first century A.D. is here discussed. The parameters of Roman political institutions available in contemporary historiography allowed to clarify the close connection between friendship and politics within the patronage system.Downloads
