The diary: a polyphonic representation of the Self. Reflections on the work The diary, by Anne Frank
Abstract
The article explains the concept of diary, referring its origin to the confessional nature of genres. As literary expression, this textual genre seems to shatter the conventions of fictional construction. In this light the authors analyze the work The Diary, by Anne Frank. Written by the well-known Jewish teenager, the work weaves a set of personal and family considerations but also political, sociological and ideological considerations about the places of man in the world.
