O projeto poético de Rupi Kaur: a presença de topoi e o entrelace retórico com a produção de autoria feminina
Abstract
This paper refers to the poetic project of the Indo-Canadian writer Rupi Kaur in her three books published in Portuguese, Milk and honey (2017), The sun and her flowers (2018), and Home body (2020). It aims to understand how the repetition of topoi, based on the statements of Hansen (2019) and Achcar (1994), exerts a rhetorical function in the selected production, which currently presents a strong collective and subversive content. Furthermore, it is also essential to address aspects of this social environment, such as the silencing and violence historically cultivated in patriarchal societies, in order to establish the relation between Kaur’s poetry and the feminist movement and then reach the connection with other female writers through commonplaces. To achieve this, it is considered analyzes carried out by theorists such as Foucault (1997) and Barthes (2004), so it becomes possible to bring out the author-position and the plurality of the text, in addition to understandings about cultural memories that are created from writing with topoi, according to the appointments of Andrade (2020). In this perspective, even if in a preliminary way, it is expected to highlight how connection networks are created and how, in a systemic view, they add to the feminist movement, its agendas and the modification of hegemonic standards.
