Cyborg without Organs: Bartholomew Kuma as a Nomadic Subject (A Collective Interpretation on Oda’s One Piece Manga)

Résumé

Considérer les bandes dessinées et les mangas comme des objets légitimes d’étude littéraire peut contribuer de manière significative au développement des sciences littéraires. La fiction populaire, telle que One Piece (OP), suscite un intérêt généralisé; cependant, de nombreuses études négligent son intégration unique du texte et des visuels, entraînant ainsi des interprétations incomplètes. Cette étude vise à offrir une interprétation collective du manga OP, en retraçant spécifiquement la transformation de l’identité de Kuma. L’analyse repose sur la théorie posthumaniste de Rosi Braidotti, en particulier sur le concept de subjectivité nomade. Les méthodes de collecte de données incluent la lecture approfondie et les groupes de discussion (FGD), avec l’analyse critique du discours comme cadre analytique. Sur la base de ces concepts et méthodes, la transformation de Kuma s’articule en deux cycles. D’abord, sa subjectivité fasciste est façonnée par le processus d’Œdipalisation du Gouvernement Mondial, qui limite ses flux productifs de désir et renforce une perspective sédentaire. Ensuite, en tant que sujet nomade, Kuma transcende son existence et perçoit la vie à travers tous les organismes en démantelant le régime œdipien au sein de ses désirs. En ce sens, Kuma peut être considéré comme un "cyborg sans organes".
