El Uso y las Repercusiones Actuales de la Telerehabilitación en las Especialidades de la Fisioterapia: Una Revisión Narrativa

Resumen

Objetivo: Analizar la aplicabilidad de la telerehabilitación en Fisioterapia, destacando su efectividad, aceptación y principales áreas de uso. Métodos: Revisión narrativa de la literatura, basada en ensayos clínicos y estudios cualitativos. Se consultaron las bases online, considerando publicaciones entre 2022 y 2024. Resultados: Se incluyeron 18 estudios que abarcan diferentes especialidades fisioterapéuticas. Los hallazgos demostraron que la telerehabilitación favorece la accesibilidad y la continuidad del cuidado, siendo especialmente relevante en contextos de aislamiento social, enfermedades crónicas y limitaciones de acceso presencial. La modalidad resultó viable en fisioterapia respiratoria, neurofuncional, traumatológica, reumatológica, cardiovascular y salud de la mujer. Conclusión: La telerehabilitación se configura como una herramienta eficaz y prometedora en la práctica fisioterapéutica, aunque persisten barreras tecnológicas y la falta de protocolos estandarizados que requieren atención para su consolidación.
