Perspectives of undergraduate students on quality in nursing care hospital

Abstract

Objective: Identify the knowledge about quality care in hospital nursing students enrolled in third year of a bachelor's degree in nursing, in a public school in São Paulo. Prospective research, with quantitative approach. Data collected by self-administered questionnaire, answered by 46 students, analyzed in a descriptive way. The students considers that the quality of hospital nursing care is related to the level satisfaction of all users of the health service, since that these receive opportune care, effective and safe, the relationship with the medical team was considered a strong barrier to obtaining quality . Detached to the patient and family satisfaction, Knowledge technic theoretic of the team, number of nurses a bed, index of adverse events, mortality and hospital infection, as the main indicators to evaluate this quality. For students patients and family have different understandings about quality of care and resolution of problems is the main factor considered by patients and family when evaluate this quality. The students are able to contemplate the various aspects that are the responsibility of the nurse for reach of quality care, but still there is a tall emphasis on the technicality as a guarantor of quality, besides interdisiciplinares barriers that need to be broken.
