Twelve individual were interviewed. Data was analyzed using the Content Analysis which resulted in the following categories: Care between walls and Well-taken care of extra walls. The results evidenced that the investment of the professionals was essential for the success of the discharges, the solidarity of the family and the community; the material resources helped on the discharge; and the Psychosocial Care Centre (CAPS) represented support, reference and security. In their preparation for work in psychosocial rehabilitation, professionals need to have special ability to deal with the individuals, seeking people’s growth and development in order to stimulate their potentials; ability to “listen and understand” people's needs; abilities to work in team, close to the families and to the community; and also they need to have technical skills with regard to practical issues of daily life and of human rights.Downloads
