The action of promoting health should be understood in its comprehensive sense, that is, the one of providing the full collective well-being in all of the aspects. This approach through projects and programs, can propitiate the population better life conditions and, consequently institute in the municipal districts projects that promote the citizens' health in consonance with the worldwide movement of a “Healthy Municipality”. With the intention of approaching subjects regarding the possibility of beginning the movement and detecting difficulties on its implementation in the municipal district of Maringá, northwest of Paraná, semi-structured interviews were accomplished in five Municipal Secretariates. It was observed that the individuals, in general, did not have knowledge of what the Movement would be, however they showed attitudes directed to a better development of the city environment.Downloads
