The chronic arterial occlusive disease affecting the lower limbs: the bio social and clinical data of their carrier

Abstract

The disease arterial chronic oclusiva (DAOC) it is an illness that reaches the wall of the arteries, frequently showing in the inferior extremities. The objective of the study went characterize a population of patients with DAOC, with relationship to the aspects biossociais and clinical. The data were collected 114 close to patient in treatment in the Hospital of Clinics of UNICAMP, by means of semi-structured interview. The results revealed senior individuals' prevalence (79,8%); of white color (85,1%); of the masculine sex (63,2%); retired (64,0%) and that, largely, they worked as tillers (37,7%). In what he/she refers to the clinical data he/she identified that the surgery went to suitable treatment option for 64,0% of the individuals and that 64,9% of them had already been interned, for an average of 19,6 days. Starting from the individuals' perception on the changes happened in its lives, it proposes the methodology of attendance, pautado in the nursing process, best indicated for patient carriers of that disease.
