Abstract
A questão do primado do bispo de Roma, como sucessor de Pedro, é de grande atualidade, não só do ponto de vista religioso, tanto para os católicos como para o ecumenismo, mas também para a política mundial. Pelo fato de papas terem abusado desse primado não se pode negá-lo. Este trabalho pretende relacionar o papado com a origem da universidade na Idade Média. Em 1231, o Papa Gregório IX, através da bula Parens scientiarum, confirma a Universitas magistrorum et scolarium Parisiensium.A criação das universidades, assim como a construção das catedrais no medievo, demonstram a elevação intelectual e artística deste período.Downloads
