O USO SOCIAL DA LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA ESCRITA PELO SURDO: COMPETÊNCIA NA INTERPRETAÇÃO DE UMA NOTÍCIA
Abstract
A vida e a educação de pessoas surdas são afetadas pela condição bilíngue exibida por alguns e perseguida por muitos e também pelas possibilidades de comunicação digital, porque o mundo muda e a sociedade muda junto. A condição bilíngue, conforme estabelecido pela Lei 10.436/2002 (2002), a Lei da Libras, significa o conhecimento, pelo surdo, da Libras e da Língua Portuguesa, na modalidade escrita. Considerando ainda que a Língua Portuguesa escrita é bastante presente na comunicação digital, foi realizada uma investigação acerca do uso social da escrita pelo surdo, com o objetivo de identificar a competência de adultos surdos, alfabetizados, com escolaridade mínima referente ao ensino médio, na interpretação de uma notícia de jornal de mídia eletrônica, que tratava de um acidente que envolvia dois automóveis e pudemos constatar a dificuldade dos surdos em compreender a notícia em todos os seus detalhes e de ser fiel ao que está lendo.
