GEODIVERSIDADE, GEOGRAFICIDADE E ENSINO DE GEOGRAFIA: UM TRABALHO DE CAMPO NA CIDADE DE GOIÁS / GO
Abstract
This article analyzes the relationships between society and nature using the concept of geographicness, focusing on the City of Goiás. Based on bibliographic research and fieldwork conducted in June 2023, the study observed areas of the historical center, such as the bridge over the Vermelho river, the Cora Coralina House, and surrounding areas along the left side of Sebastião Fleury Curado avenue. The objective is to understand how geodiversity shapes the urban landscape and becomes geoheritage, revealing identity and historical narratives. The results indicate that local geodiversity not only structures the urban landscape but also sustains identity, historical, and symbolic narratives, qualifying the City of Goiás as a territory of high geoheritage value.
