Abstract

The objective of this article was to make some reflections about the 20 years of developmental approach of school physical education, using as a strategy responses to the criticisms received during the period. Based on the fact that those criticisms were mainly made by the academicians and not by the teachers working with school physical education, the analysis was carried out more on the academic debate in relation to the fundamentals of the approach.
