PEDAGOGIC EDUCATION FOR COLLEGE PROFESSORS:A NECESSARY QUESTION FOR CURRICULAR ORGANIZATION

Abstract
Since the possible lack of a didactic and methodology for college professors has been recognized for quite some time, according to a number of studies (Pauib/UEM,1993 a 1996, Balzan, 1999, and others), the initial proposal of this article is to report some of the findings of a study that sought to verify if the provision of a training program for college professors would be reflected in the quality of the course and student satisfaction. The program mentioned sought to respond to rates of dissatisfaction of students to pedagogical practices of these professors revealed by a self-evaluation of the course. The public and institutional discussion of the findings of this evaluation demanded a solution. One of the responses to the concerns of students and professors who wanted changes was the program mentioned, which is analyzed in this article.Downloads
