Sonorous School Scenes: Histories about education, radio and humor

Abstract

This article, written from the survey of sonorous registers and sources printed of the decades of 1930, 1940 and 1950, interrogates about the success of old radio’s programs of humor centered in scholl thematics, generally constituted of dialogues between a professor and his pupils. It searchs, in this direction, to analyze the tensions that were presents between school knowledge, formal education and programming of the senders in a period in which the radio, before greeted as vehicle of national education, was taken by commercial and popular aspects. In this way, it dialogues particularly with the concepts of language and costum constructed respectively by Mikhail Bakhtin e E. P. hompson.
