Abstract

In this work the UV/VIS spectroscopy was used to study the photo degradation by UV light of the salicylic acid in cavity of β-cyclodextrin. A reduction in the speed of degradation of the salicylic acid of 34.5% in pH 7 and of 17.5% in pH 4 was observed when β-cyclodextrin is added to the solution. The obtained value to the constant of dissociation of the salicylic acid complex and of the β-cyclodextrin was of 4.3±0.5×10-3 mol/L
