Abstract

The purpose of this text is to provoke those involved in the subjects concerning Religious Teaching to (re-)think some intrinsic topics of this discipline, such as issues of religiosities, diversities and relationships which are established in this space. This provocation of the thinkers of Religious Teaching is expressed through the discussion of some fundamental topics of the practice of Religious Teaching at school, now approached under the look of Theology. The text emphasizes that it is complicated to teach about religions, considering that religiosities, children’s bodies, the history of each one of them, the symbolic identifications, are much more varied than it is possible to imagine. Religion is much more than the legacy of a tradition or religious institution, and that is the reason why theological thought is fundamental for the debate about Religious Teaching.
