<b>The reception path of Raul Brandão’s works<b>
Abstract
The literary work of Raul Brandão had a gradually but increasing aesthetical acknowledgement by critics. However, there were omissions or naive opinions on his fictional productions during several decades before his achievements were acknowledged. A survey of these opinions was undertaken and a reflection was endeavored with regard to the critical path undertaken by Brazilian and Portuguese literary critics so that the acknowledgement path of the author's works could be traced. Aspects of the critical reception in the media, for example, in newspapers and magazines, in literary textbooks or academic thesis published later, as preponderant in each period, are investigated.
