Dialogical ethics and culture: the value of critical-reflective transitivity in education
Abstract
Drawing on the writings of Paulo Freire, the text reflects on the fact that no ethically free and ideologically neutral education exists, consequently, in the formation of an individual it is not possible to separate the educational question of ethical attributes. The text also deals with the relationship between ethics, politics and education, reflecting on the nature and function of the educational act, considering the implications and results of the learning process. The text argues that it is up to the educator to explore themes that motivate and are close to the existential conditions of the student, to instill the mentality of research and independent search for knowledge, to encourage dialogue and listening, and above all, to take the ethical responsibility with the development of a clarified culture.
