NEUROSCIENCE-BASED COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the perception of public primary education managers regarding the elements of communication - body posture and emotions - after completing customized training based on neuroscience and oriented to developing communicational skills. This study has a quantitative, descriptive approach, carried out employing action research through a training course for 87 managers of public primary education schools in the city of Indaiatuba, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The results showed that managers perceived an improvement in the communication elements of body posture and emotions after the training intervention (p < 0.05). The training allowed the managers to deal more effectively with the school community, as they learned to be aware of their emotions and body posture, manage their emotional state, and improve their interactions.
