PRODUÇÃO ACADÊMICA SOBRE SEGURANÇA PÚBLICA NA FRONTEIRA BRASIL-BOLÍVIA (2015-2025), NO CONTEXTO POSTERIOR À IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DOS ODS DA ONU
Abstract
Public security in border areas is a strategic challenge given the transnational dynamics of crime, institutional weaknesses, and socio-spatial inequalities, especially on the Brazil-Bolivia border. This research aims to analyze the trends and gaps in academic production on public security on the Brazil-Bolivia border in the period following the creation of the Sustainable Development Goals (2015-2025). Methodologically, a quantitative bibliometric study with a scientometric approach, guided by the PRISMA Protocol, was conducted using searches in the Google Scholar, CAPES Journals Portal, and Scopus databases. The data were analyzed using VOSviewer software, allowing for the analysis of co-authorship and co-occurrence of relevant terms. The results indicate a thematic concentration on drug trafficking and organized crime, with a predominance of institutional and repressive approaches, as well as strong fragmentation of scientific collaboration networks. Significant gaps are evident, such as the scarcity of binational studies, limited attention to other illicit economies, non-criminalized border populations, and the low incorporation of gender, race, and human rights perspectives. It was concluded that, although the field shows progress, it still lacks greater theoretical integration, interdisciplinarity, and socio-spatial sensitivity, to effectively contribute to sustainable and integrated public policies on the Brazil-Bolivia border.
