Abstract

The Ministry of education (MEC) and the Ministry of basic education (SEB) have  paying attentionattention on the continuing training of teachers in the Initial Series of elementary school through public policies to  promote, as presented the Pro-Literacy Program. This article  point the results of the work carried out by 12 months in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, at the Federal University of Santa Maria, who attended 94 municipalities and their respective Municipal Secretaries of education, consolidating training of  101  teachers tutors and  1,473  participants teachers. In this period, formed an Institutional Coordination and a Pedagogical and technical group that encouraged teachers to conduct a compromisedjob, dynamic, qualified and distinguished, to understanding the particular cases and permissions of each participant teacher. Along four steps of face-to-face training with tutors teachers program, prioritized the construction of a  dialogic  dynamic, guiding them to the  growth of the program in each municipality, which meets the objective of the program proposed by the Ministry of education, which is the encouragement of continuing training in schools.  In the face of the  omission from some Municipal Secretaries of Education to teachers ' work, mention here the commitment and retention of tutors teachers in the program, because they realize that initiatives such as improving the initial training, and that Brazil still feels the effects of change that requires the higher education to teaching.
