Abstract

Educational policies for diversity have occupied a central place in government definitions at the last two decades. Thus educators and managers are challenged to build new administrative and pedagogical practices. Hoping to contribute for the debate about the topic, this text intends to raise some points for reflection. The fact that the issue goes beyond the field of education is especially focused. It represents a response to new capital demands, which involve governments and companies. The goal is to make a few considerations about what has not been approached in discussions, especially regarding the relation between the discourse of diversity defense and current historical conditions.
