Abstract

This paper aims to make considerations that allow us to understand the implications of the reform of the Brazilian State to the Basic Education reform and the Educational Management. For this, we refer to the identification of the economic, political, social and ideological context that determine them, in their relations to the international movement of the productive restructuring, in the end of the 20th century, articulating to the neoliberal conditioning reformers. Through this context we make it explicit the reasons that promoted the Basic Education reform and the Educational Management, in the 1990s. We evidenced from the propositions of a new management model, the underlying intentionality to the maintenance of the current order.
