PRACTICE PEDAGÓGICAS INVOLVING THE FOOD IN SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT: PRESENTATION OF A PROPOSAL

Abstract
The insertion of the food in teaching practices in basic education is an option for effective actions for health promotion in schools, enabling the training of individuals aware and with healthy living habits. This paper is to present a proposal for nutrition education for the initial series of basic education, so combined with the curriculum content criteria proposed by National Curriculum. This proposal is based on some theoretical principles: the affirmation of good eating habits occurs in childhood and is influenced by the school environment, which justifies the use of food as an element of learning, promoting children's familiarity with food and encouraging consumption and the large amount of curricular content and the variety of educational commitments during the school year hamper the conduct of activities involving food beyond the classroom; the construction of knowledge occurs in the interaction of the subjects, so dynamic and fun, so it is suggested the implementation of practices educational and leisure group, and also previously planned, with clear goals and methods; finally, it was considered that the figure of teacher has key role in the learning process, as mediator of knowledge, which boosted its inclusion as an actor of the main activities of nutrition education, under the guidance of nutritionist.Downloads
