Abstract
This article aims to contextualise and describe the theoretical formulations of Pestalozzi, Herbart and Dewey on education and teaching method. Presents a critical analysis of the contributions that they offered for education and teaching and highlights elements of his theories still permeate today pedagogical practices in schools, particularly those teaching procedures. The text is the result of a literature search that took as essential sources of each of the works considered classic authors in our midst in the context of educational theories and teaching, as Anthology of Pestalozzi, General Pedagogy derived del fin de la educación, Democracy and Education and How we think.Downloads
