The Place of Distance Education in the National Education (2011-2020)
Abstract
This study aims to reflect on the place of Distance Learning (EAD) in the National Education Plan (PNE)
2011-2020. From the discussion of the historical and legal aspects of EAD in Brazil, which seeks to
understand its role in our society. The analysis law project of PNE (2011-2020) compared to the Outcome
Document of National Education Conference (CONAE) allows us to understand what is the space destined
for the the modality of EAD, a document of such great significance, since it is though this that in the next ten
years the education of our country will be projected. We conclude that on the bill of PNE (2011 - 2020) EAD
appears diffusely among the strategies and focuses on the training of young people, education in the field and
in post-graduate sense not refering to superior education. It is considered that the impact of this choice can be
very damaging to the democratization of education in our country.
