Abstract

The contribution analyses the intellectual itinerary of Otto Niemann, one of the most prominent teachers who experimented with the ’scolanovism‘ postulates on Uruguay on the first half 20th century. The contribution takes root in showing that certain fundamental aspects of his thought and actions -if these topics could separate come from the working revolutionary tradition on the 19th century and they manage to impregnate the layers of the public state system of education.
