Abstract

The “Roda de Conversa” is a methodological possibility for a dynamic and productive communication between teenager students and teachers in high school. This technique is presented as a rich tool to be used as a methodological practice of approximation between subjects in everyday teaching. Discussions on “Roda de Conversa” were guided by the perception of both teachers and students about adolescence and its influence on the relations between these subjects. Data analysis revealed some interactional difficulties linked to the teenager condition, interpreted as a condition of rebellion, irresponsibility and lack of interest by some participants, that generates the distance between teacher and student, preventing a more direct and effective dialogue in the daily room class. In light of considerations of authors like Gatti, Iervolino and Pelicioni on Focus Group, adaptations to “Roda de Conversa” which, even when performed with different groups of teachers and students, proved to be an effective instrument for the establishment of an area of dialogue and interaction..
