Formation of study groups with teachers of early years of education in the ethnomatematics perspective
Abstract
This research, developed at the Univates – RS, with support from the Higher Education Personnel Training Coordination (Notice INEP CAPES 049/2012), has as main objective investigating the pedagogical implications arising from the effect of the discussions in two study group with teachers of the first years of Elementary School, having as theoretical support the field of ethnomathematics. The research material was generated through discussions, recorded and transcribed, with teachers from groups of 4th and 5th grades of two public schools of the Taquari Valley, RS, as well as its written textual productions during the meetings of the two formed study groups. The analysis of this material allowed up the following units of analysis: a) Attachment to Mathematical Formalism by members of the study group; b) The recognition, from these teachers to the existence of non-school mathematical language games.
