The secondary education students' involvement in physical education classes: some considerations
Abstract
This research aims to verify the involvement of High School students in Physical Education classes. The research involved two private schools located in the East District of São Paulo City, Brazil, as well as 4 Physical Education teachers and 446 high school students. It was developed a field research using as instruments: the observation during 80 hours/classes; a questionnaire for the students and an interview with the teachers. Among the present establishments to the data analysis, it was noticed that 70% of the students attend to Physical Education classes because they like, although 46% of the students are not involved in the classes. The research shows that there is a strong relationship among the teacher's behaviour, the contents proposal, the students' involvement and expectation in class.Downloads
