Section Policies
The Journal of Physical Education publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed articles that contribute to advancing knowledge in the field of physical education. We accept submissions in the following sections:
Original Article
An original article is a type of scientific manuscript that presents unpublished research results conducted by the authors. This type of article should significantly contribute to advancing knowledge in a specific field, offering new perspectives, empirical data, or innovative methodologies.
Review Article
A review article is a type of scientific manuscript that synthesizes, evaluates, and discusses existing literature on a specific topic or research area. Unlike original research articles, which present new research data, a review article analyzes and integrates findings from previously published studies, providing a comprehensive and critical overview of the current state of knowledge.
Book Review
A book review is a critical and detailed analysis of a work, whether it be a book, article, film, or any other academic or cultural production. In the context of a scientific journal, a book review is particularly important as it offers a thorough evaluation of the contributions and limitations of a work, situating it within the broader literature within a specific field of knowledge, in this case, related to physical education, sports, leisure, health, and education.
Interview
Interviews with intellectually recognized scholars in the field of physical education, conducted by active researchers and educators in academic and research institutions.
Documents
This section accepts guidelines, standards, and collective positions produced by societies and associations that align with the scope of the Journal of Physical Education.
Thematic Dossiers
Thematic dossiers proposed by active researchers and educators in academic and research institutions will be considered.
All submissions undergo peer review to ensure the highest standards of quality and relevance.
