Open Science
The Journal of Physical Education is committed to promoting the principles of open science to enhance transparency, reproducibility, and accessibility in scientific research. We believe that open science practices are essential for advancing knowledge and ensuring the integrity of the research process. In alignment with this commitment, the Journal of Physical Education has established the following policies regarding openness in review procedures, subject to agreement from authors and reviewers:
-
Encouragement of Preprint Deposits: Authors are strongly encouraged to make their manuscripts available on recognized preprint repositories before formal submission. This practice promotes early dissemination of research findings and allows for greater engagement and feedback from the community.
-
Open Authorship Review: the Journal of Physical Education may conduct peer reviews with authors' names disclosed to reviewers. This approach promotes accountability and transparency in the review process. However, this will be implemented only with the consent of both authors and reviewers involved in the process.
-
Publication of Responsible Editors: The names of editors responsible for handling the manuscript will be published alongside articles. This practice highlights editorial oversight and enhances the credibility and accountability of the editorial process.
The Journal of Physical Education remains dedicated to maintaining high standards of peer review and publication ethics. We believe that these open science policies will contribute to the robustness and reliability of research published in our journal. We appreciate the cooperation of our authors and reviewers in adopting these practices for the benefit of the scientific community at large
