The inclusion of obese children: a challenge to the Physical Education
Abstract
The existence of different kind of bodies is natural, but human being change this difference as a subject turned on arrogance and prepotency. The school and classes of Physical Education are places where these meetings are real. However, the school education needs put its practices in values which transcend this kind of behavior prioritizing ethical values turned on life. In this perspective, this article presents how the human relations occur when an obese child faces a Physical Education class as well as the entire school environment. The human body is placed in a critical perspective against its uses and meanings in the current reality at the society and in the values of the market ideology. Based on this perspective, this study aimed to understand how the coexistence facing an obese body interferes in the habit construction of the students in their relationship in the world and with other persons.Downloads
