Abstract
This study of bibliographical character had as objective to analyze the teaching methodologies of collective sports, characterizing some new approaches evidenced by literature regarding the teaching techniques and tactics. Different assumptions on the pedagogical practice of Physical Education teachers have disclosed the prevalence of the traditional approach in the teaching of sports. In contrast to the trend centered on the technique, there is the concern with the teaching process of tactics in sports (game centered approach) to assure that the pupil learns to take decisions and to solve problems that occur during the game. The new trends show concern about the teaching of the technique and tactics, namely, the methodologies based on functional structures, on teaching games for understanding and the development perspective in physical education. For a gradual change to occur in the teaching collective sports in school reality, it is indicated initiatives of continued formation of teachers and practical analysis of the pedagogical practice in disciplines of sports in primary and secondary schools.Downloads
